The COVID-19 pandemic has touched all of our lives in ways that we could not have imagined only months ago. While all of the heroic front line workers from medical personnel to fire fighters to cashiers at the supermarket are risking their lives daily to keep us safe, we all have to do our part. In comparison, at the beginning, our part was so simple that it could be captured by three little words: Stay at home. Stay at home for every person that is out there fighting to restore our way of life, to restore our health, to keep us fed, and to keep us safe. Stay at home to keep yourself, your loved ones and your community safe.
Now as the world starts to open up, one community at a time, the onus is on us to create a better world in this new normal. We don’t know what’s next, no one does for sure, but even in our uncertainty we each have the power to create light in this world, no matter how big or small. But most importantly, one of our biggest lessons is that we cannot do it alone. Together we are empowered to do so much more than we as individuals can dream of doing alone. The hope is that each of us will continue to dream, create, accomplish and inspire together!
